Hello, my name is Forest and I'm the est of elest.
I've studied drawing, printmaking and sculpture. Charcoal is one of my favorite mediums. I primarily do abstract landscapes inspired by nature. I enjoy collaborating with Elly, my wife, creative partner and is the el in elest. We work primarily with charcoal and pastel on paper. Occasionally oil paint. We each take turns on the work until we deem it complete. We started with Abstract Heads and veered towards landscapes as seen in the Current Works gallery. I am drawn to nature. It is awe-inspiring to me. The form and content is a language unto itself. With abstraction it adds an emotive yet studied application of drawing and painting.
